Dr. Richie Sun is a Traditional Chinese Medicine doctor (Dr. TCM), acupuncturist, herbalist, hypnotherapist and a respected acupuncture instructor at VaCC.

He born in a medical family, whose parents are Qigong therapists, and after a long interesting journey, Dr. Sun finally heard the calling within, followed his parents’ foot steps, became a medical practitioner. Thanks to his previous experience, he has deeper understanding about TCM and Acupuncture.

Dr. Sun sees the value of TCM and wish to use it benefit more peoples, not only to patients, also to students. That is why he still choose to teach, due to his busy schedule.

Chiaki moved to Vancouver from Japan in 2013. Until then she treated her family with Moxibustion. Since then a holistic approach to healing has been her goal.

She studied Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) at Vancouver Career College. After graduation, she became a Registered Acupuncturist in British Columbia. Chiaki has worked at Dr. Sun Teaching Clinic as an intern acupuncturist for the last year. She treats patients based on the TCM diagnostic method using Tongue and Pulse diagnosis. Acupuncture treatment includes Tuina, (Chinese massage/ acupressure,) Gua Sha for chronic and acute pain, digestive issues, insomnia, emotional stress, women’s health issues , and maintaining patient body wellbeing. She has a certificate of Facial Rejuvenation Acupuncture, and can provide treatment without needles using MRT(Muscle Release Technique/ Lympha care) method for greater relaxation.
